Where: Sourced from Charnay, a village in the Southern Beaujolais just north of Lyon, in a beautiful area known as the “Terres Dorées” or Region of Golden Stones. From a plot of 80-year-old Chardonnay vines grown on Charnay’s distinctive clay and limestone soils.
How: Made in the same way as champagne, with the second fermentation in bottle. Aged for two years on its lees, then hand disgorged.
Taste: Bright green apples and tangy lemon zest, a subtle chalky minerality & tangy finish.
